Katy Perry: 'It's Time For Me To Go The F--- Away'

'I want to go and write songs in the woods or something,' she tells MTV News about her next move.

It comes as no surprise that Katy Perry needs a bit of a break.

She released her megahit Teenage Dream album two years ago, and it's been a bit of blur ever since. She's shot numerous, big-budget music videos, topped the charts, got married and divorced, toured the world, re-released her album and even managed to squeeze in filming her first-ever 3-D concert film, "Katy Perry: Part of Me."

It's a sequence of events that would leave a lesser women exhausted. And it seems all that hustle and bustle is finally catching up with the purple-haired pop superstar. She said she's now ready to chill out for a bit — finally.

"I'm going into hiding," she told MTV News on Tuesday night at her splashy film premiere in L.A. The lady in red added, "I want to go and write songs in the woods or something."

If it feels like you've been seeing a lot of Perry lately, well, that will soon change.

"I'm gonna unplug, take my hair extensions out, feel my head again. I'm gonna unplug and recharge, if that makes any sense," she said. "I'm gonna go away. I'm sure you know it's time for me to go the f--- away."

But before she does actually goes off the grid, she'll be around a little bit longer as she promotes her July 5 movie release, which she said will show fans just how crazy her Teenage Dream era has truly been. Her film touches on not only the good, but also the bad, including her split from ex Russell Brand.

"I wouldn't say it's so therapeutic, because the movie is so well-rounded with so many different things," Perry said. "I guess some of it is just hopefully an inspiration for people. When they see it, they are like, 'Oh, yeah, she goes through some sh-- too. I can't dodge life's curve balls if Katy Perry can't dodge life's curve balls.' "

Check out everything we've got on "Katy Perry: Part of Me."

Psychology Used In Marketing | School Of Education

Psychology used in marketing now, evoke, this is a term with! What exactly is meant by the term psychological marketing? It is a question of attitude of the researcher! We are the various aspects of IT:

Psychological marketing ? psychology Reverse Psychology is a technique that promote the defense of the faith or conduct that is contrary to the desired too, with the hope that this approach to make the subject matter of persuasion, what truly desired: the opposite of this proposed . This technique is based on the psychological phenomenon of reactance, in which a person has a negative emotional reaction in response to talk about, and so choose the option that is recommended against. Or simply ? if you tell a child who can not do absolutely anything ? it means, and is absolutely without a doubt! Perhaps we will never really grow up to be!

How often do we see advertisements, whether online or on TV or in magazines and newspapers offline media ? say something like ? ?You do not want to read this? ? if you now! Or think of themselves as not the brightest and get a title for the ad that ?the only really intelligent people should read this and you are there but no one says you know, if you?re smart or do not go -!? This product is only for the privileged few ? not here ?and you do so, even if you do not want anything that will reverse psychology offered in the game -. what you are told you can not have ? do you want out of luck wording here ? the art of psychological marketing!

Psychological marketing ? the art of color, it is no coincidence that the big players in the big company advertising departments with large budgets have! Everyone wants their consumption in a way that no one else does not get to. How to achieve this, if people do not really like selling? This is where the psychological marketing with a splash of color ? the choice of the color of rivets your attention on the nervous system and neurotransmitters in the brain sends endorphins, serotonin, etc. released ? the hormone of happiness. Basically, the effect that you feel comfortable and then you! If just looking at the announcement of the product / service that makes you feel good ? you feel as if you buy it! I need it! Artists and interior designers have long understood how color can have a dramatic effect on moods, feelings and emotions. This is a powerful communication tool and can be used to report the action to affect mood and cause to be physiological reactions.

Here is a list of colors and their significance in terms of activity ? through the eyes of North American culture:

Consider the importance of the following colors when used in psychological marketing:

White: Pure. Clean. Young. There?s a neutral color, the purity in fashion and sterilization in the medical profession bring with them.
Black: Power. Elegant. Secret. The color black can target your high-end market or be used in the marketing of young people, to add mystery to your image.
Red: passion. The excitement. Danger. Red is the color of attention, which increases the blood pressure and heart rate. Use red to inject excitement you in your brand.
Orange: Vibrant. Energy. Play. Add some fun to your business if you want to create an entertaining experience for your customers.
Yellow: Happy. Warming. To draw attention. Yellow can be an attractor for your business with a sense of relaxation.
Green: Natural. Health. Abundant. To choose to create a calming effect or growth image green. Go Green Go
Purple: Royalty. Wise. Celebration. Maybe add some purple tones to your look for your company to premium services.
Blue: Loyal. Quiet. Trustworthy. Blue is the most popular color neutral and globally. A safe choice for a building company loyalty. As the most used color for healing the body.

Therefore, companies compete for your business or dollars, to recognize this and use these colors accordingly. As powerful as when your eyes first, that the tissue of the central system will be stimulated!

Psychological marketing ? Reciprocity If I give you something that you could give me something ? or is the general rule, if you are a kind of greedy person! If I give you a free trial of a new skin care product, for example, then you are more likely to feel obligated to buy. Another example is with direct mail: the organization of disabled veterans of America sends requests for money every year to do so many charities ? World Wildlife Fund, etc., sending base does not generate only 18 percent response, but if he without address labels or Custom Christmas Cards adds, if it?s that time of year, it improved by 35 percent. In the negotiations for this principle is at work. If I concede something, retreat to a lower demand, then you are more likely something to give me something of my own. So, starting with the question, have a higher price, you can make concessions and reach the psychological desire to exchange. Similar to the traditional barter, if you want. everything is in marketing psychology in general, the upper end of the Company or the Egyptian Bazaar!

Psychological Marketing ? Article rarity value is always desirable to us because they are less available. For this reason, trumpet marketer of natural one-of-a-kind product or service. ?Limited Time? offer. Shortage can be turned to your advantage. The fact that the customer ?We were informed that there be a shortage of cheese? is to increase jobs, ?Telling customers.? We have an exclusive source who told us that there be a shortage of cheese will ?continue to increase orders. The more the appearance of scarcity, more desire to act quickly before it?s too late.

How many of us go, Wild at Christmas ? shopping tons of food, we do not really need or even want, because it is the time of the year, and we are conditioned to believe that everything is going to be for exhaust and stores Weeks are closed? I?m sure if I could see the sea of hands up, and nods, it would be great! It is the psychological marketing of all this ? unfortunately, it starts earlier every year now!

Psychological Marketing ? Preview I hope the above has given you an idea of what happens ?behind the scenes, magazines, newspapers, Internet marketing, direct marketing, flyers for a dependent, etc. Mailbox chosen words ? the picture or the image shown ? Product and emotion they want to generate is used to the color they choose carefully crafted to feed your psychology Food for thought next time you are looking to make a purchase.!

Undergoing a DIY Home Improvement Project? {guest post} - My ...

Undergoing A DIY Home Improvement Project? A List of Things to Consider

by Aileen

Whether you?re trying to improve your home?s curb appeal to increase its earning potential or just give your interior a much needed face lift, the fact remains that home improvements can get pretty pricey. Before hiring a contractor to do the job, ask yourself if you wouldn?t be able to do it yourself, and save a lot of money in the process.

Of course, whether or not you will be able to do an effective job yourself will depend on your experience and level of expertise, as well as the nature of the job itself. If you?ve decided that a DIY home improvement project is the way to go, there are a few things you should consider before you get started.

Make a detailed plan

Obvious as this may seem, many homeowners start their DIY projects without sufficient knowledge of what it will entail, the materials they will need and exactly how much it will all cost. This can result in you spending more than you intended to, or running up against a brick wall with your renovations halfway through and needing to hire a contractor anyway.
To avoid this, make sure you do detailed research before you get started. Make a step by step outline of what the project will entail by doing research online and speaking to someone who has experience with the job you will be carrying out.

Next, make a list of everything you will need to get the job done, and go to a few different DIY and home improvement stores to price the materials and ensure that you will be getting the best deals possible.

Buying in bulk can save you a significant amount of money, so if you are planning similar renovations in the future, you may want to consider buying a larger amount. You could also find out if any of your friends or neighbors need similar materials and split the costs to get a better deal.

Speak to your municipality before starting

Even if you don?t think you will need any permits for the work you intent to carry out, it is always safer to double check. Many things that you may not think require a permit, such as adding a tool shed in your yard or having your roof redone, will require a permit in some counties.

Types of permits you may need include building permits, electrical permits, plumbing permits mechanical permits and zoning permits. All construction projects or upgrades that cost more than $5,000 may also require a building permit.

Building permits for simple home improvement projects probably seem like a lot of fuss and bother over nothing, but the requirements have been put in place to protect homeowners and the general public from unsafe construction and ensure that the proper safety standards will be met.

Dropping by your municipality before you get started could save you a lot of hassle and even legal trouble in the long run.

Set aside an extra amount of money

Even if you have a good budget set aside for the work you want to carry out, it is always a good idea to save an extra amount, usually around 10 to 20 percent of your total budget. Because even if you have planned everything out carefully, there are always things that could go wrong, from a burst water pipe to a shortage of materials.

If you prepare for these things in advance, you won?t be taken by surprise when you have to shell out more money than you initially intended to. Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst.

Prepare for the aftermath

Construction work and home improvements tend to cause a great deal of mess and confusion in your home. Knowing what to expect will prevent you from becoming overly stressed or getting stuck with piles of trash for weeks on end.

Old materials, used cans of paint and chemicals ? most of the waste you produce during a home improvement project cannot be disposed of in your regular trash, so it?s important to have a plan for where it will go.

You could arrange to have waste removed immediately once the project is complete by contacting a construction waste recycling plant. You will need to find out how to separate the materials so that chemicals or dangerous substances will not go to landfills and contribute to environmental problems.

If you don?t know of any waste recycling companies in your area, your municipality should be able to give you advice about where you can take your waste, although you may find that disposing of construction materials will cost you more than you anticipated. Preparing for this in advance will help you to avoid any unpleasant surprises.

Try to keep things as organized as possible during the home improvements to reduce the stressful conditions that remodeling can cause. Trash dumpsters can help with this, as you will be able to clean up the debris at the end of each day.

Nora Ephron: A Big-Screen Love Letter

We fondly remember the cinematic legacy of the director/screenwriter who died Tuesday at the age of 71.
By Amy Wilkinson

Nora Ephron
Photo:

It couldn't have been more than six months ago that a male friend and I were engaged in an uncharacteristically earnest Gchat conversation about the genius of "When Harry Met Sally..." And as philosophical discussions of that sort often go, we couldn't help but wonder why they don't make romantic comedies like they used to. (Oh, the loathsome they: such a handy scapegoat!)

Of course, each generation is wont to think theirs did it best, but it was probably a curious conversation for us to be having considering we hadn't even finished the second grade when the film debuted in 1989. But our belated affinity for the film speaks volumes to the timelessness of a screenplay written by filmmaker Nora Ephron, who died Tuesday at the age of 71.

Ephron wasn't the first to ponder the oft-fraught friendships that develop between men and women, but her commentary on the subject remains among the most true. More than 20 years after Harry (Billy Crystal) and Sally (Meg Ryan) met and road-tripped from Chicago to New York City, the question of whether the "sex part" always gets in the way continues to be a favorite cinematic trope (see: "Friends With Benefits," "No Strings Attached"). But those efforts seem superfluous in the shadow of Ephron's Oscar-nominated achievement.

The New York-born writer was a journalist by trade, who made her foray into feature films with 1983's "Silkwood," which starred Meryl Streep, Kurt Russell and Cher. Ephron (along with co-screenwriter Alice Arlen) received her first of three Oscar noms for the biopic's script based on the life of Karen Silkwood, who died under suspicious circumstances while investigating the processing plant where she worked. Ephron penned a handful of dramatic screenplays (including a a few politically charged scripts that never saw the light of day), but it is her earnest romantic comedies that Ephron will always be remembered for.To wit, today's mostly treacly romantic romps make Ephron's films seem a revelation— and, thankfully, never once a rescue mission. Her female characters were never sad-sack spinsters whose only aim was to find a man. In fact, often time, such as in "Sleepless in Seattle" and "You've Got Mail," the female protagonist was already in a relationship when a new one began to blossom with the real Mr. Right.

But if an Ephron heroine were ever to be considered in need of salvation, so too were her heroes: both equally formidable and equally flawed. In "Sleepless in Seattle," Meg Ryan's Annie, stuck in a lackluster relationship with Bill Pullman's Walter, was as much rescued by Tom Hanks' widowed Sam as she rescued him, bringing him back to life atop the twinkling Empire State Building.

Much of what made Ephron's characters so indelible was what came out of their mouths. The screenwriter exceled at witty, quippy dialogue that often beat with the quickened pulse of New York City (a frequent setting for her films). I mean, "I'll have what she's having"? Come on! And don't even get me started on Harry's proclamation of love to Sally. To this day, I can't even read the monologue without getting a little misty-eyed: "... And I love that you are the last person I want to talk to before I go to sleep at night. And it's not because I'm lonely, and it's not because it's New Year's Eve. I came here tonight because when you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible." (Do yourself a favor and read her entire quotes page on Goodreads.)

Of course, Ephron wasn't just a scribe but a keen director, who got the best out of her actors and understood the power of a Meg Ryan-Tom Hanks one-two punch. And in the end, she had no delusions about what her career was and wasn't, telling MTV News in a 2009 interview while promoting her final film, "Julie & Julia," that she never felt penned in by the romantic-comedy genre.

"I'm not complaining about any box that I'm in, because I can write whatever I want," Ephron said. "Fortunately, I'm not just in the movie business, so I don't feel that the only way I can express myself is by the movies I make."

Fortunately for us, she was in the movie business, and she never once faked it.

Share your condolences for Ephron's family and friends in the comments.
